About us

WHat is U-TEST?

U-TEST offers free, anonymous, and rapid HIV testing & counseling in Seattle's Capitol Hill Neighborhood. All are welcome. This service is a collaboration between Peer Seattle, the University of Washington School of Medicine, and Public Health - Seattle King County. We use INSTI™ tests, which are 99.9% accurate 3 months or more after a possible HIV exposure. We pride ourselves in providing HIV testing services to anyone who wants it - we have no limitations on whom we test, so please come in when you are available!

our TESTERS

All U-TEST testers are medical students from the University of Washington School of Medicine. Our volunteer testers undergo extensive training in conjunction with Public Health - Seattle & King County so that we can provide comprehensive and inclusive HIV testing and counseling services to anyone who walks through our door. A unique and highly respected organization within the School of Medicine, U-TEST attracts a diverse array of student testers that are united in their passion for HIV awareness and destigmatization as well as their dedication to improving the health and wellbeing of our community. Through their testing experiences and continuous advanced training, our testers are well equipped with the skills and expertise to be leaders in respectful, inclusive HIV testing and care both as medical students and in their future careers as physicians.
